How much interest will my GIC earn?

See what a GIC would earn, with the interest paid out to you each year or added on (compounded). The rate starts at today's highest advertised rate for the term you pick.

An estimate only. It assumes the rate stays the same for the whole term, interest paid or compounded once a year, and no withdrawals; lenders may calculate interest a little differently (daily, or more often than once a year). Interest is taxable income each year unless the GIC is in a registered account such as a TFSA or RRSP, and deposit insurance has limits per institution. Confirm the rate and terms with the lender before you invest. See also today's GIC rates and How GIC interest works.
