Terms of use

Information only. This site shares general information about mortgage rates and how mortgages work. It isn't financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer of credit. Talk to a lender or a qualified professional about your own situation.

Accuracy. Rates are collected automatically from lenders' public websites and can change at any time. They may be out of date, incomplete or occasionally wrong. Always confirm the current rate and terms directly with the lender before making a decision.

Calculators. Calculator results are estimates based on the numbers you enter and on published rules, which can change. Lenders use their own methods and criteria, so their figures will differ.

Lender names and logos. Lender names and logos belong to their owners. They're shown only to identify each lender and the source of its rates, and don't mean that any lender endorses or is affiliated with this site.

Links. This site links to lenders' and governments' websites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and this site isn't responsible for their content.

Changes. These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Shop purchases

What you're buying. The reports, workbooks and planners in the Shop are PDF files you download. Each one is a single copy for your own use: please don't share, resell or post it. Your copy carries the email address you bought it with.

Checkout and payment. Purchases are handled by Payhip, which sells and delivers the files on this site's behalf, with payments processed by its payment partners. Your card details go to them, never to this site. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and sales tax is added where it applies.

No refunds. Because the files are delivered right away, all sales are final and there are no refunds. If a file won't download or open, use the Contact link on the product's Payhip page and a working copy will be sent to you.

Information only. Like the rest of this site, the products explain how mortgages, savings accounts and GICs work, as published by lenders and official sources on the date shown. They aren't financial, legal or tax advice. Terms and rules change, so confirm anything important with your lender or a qualified professional.

Updates. Each edition shows the date its information was checked. Buying one edition doesn't include later editions.

Privacy

What this site collects. Nothing at all while you browse. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies.

What's saved on your device. Your light or dark mode choice, your choices on the rates table (like your province) and the numbers you enter in the calculators are saved in your own browser so they're there when you come back. They never leave your device, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

When you buy from the Shop. Payhip collects your name, email address and payment details to complete your purchase and email you the file, under its own privacy policy. This site receives your name and email address from Payhip, uses them only to deliver your purchase and answer you if you get in touch, and never sells or shares them.
